It’s that time of the year – the Coachella lineup is finally out! And my, what a lineup. Solid combination of past, present, and future, with quite a few notable reunions. I can’t wait for April to roll around so I can enjoy these amazing bands live.
Some of the bands I’m most looking forward to, by day:
Friday – Blur (whoo hoo!), Modest Mouse (really looking forward to this one), Passion Pit, Of Monsters and Men
Saturday – The Postal Service (reunited after nearly a decade, this one alone makes the festival worth going to for me!), Phoenix, the xx, Dropkick Murphys (I’m a sailor peg, and I’ve lost my leg!)
Sunday – Red Hot Chili Peppers (this will be my first time ever seeing this legendary band live), Vampire Weekend, Social Distortion, The Lumineers, The Airborne Toxic Event (woo local LA band).
My only disappointments are that Muse, Jack White, and of course Daft Punk aren’t playing this one. Oh wells, one can only hope for future appearances and concerts!
