And the updates keep on coming. Woke up around 6:30 AM today to get ready for the expo. I was really tired because I ended up getting 4 hours of sleep, so the Starbucks coffee (and breakfast sandwich) helped a bit.
We drove into the city, unloaded our stuff, and a co-worker and I went to Target to pick up a couple of stools for our booth. We brought those back and set them up next to the metered parking on the street. A bunch of pre-schoolers walked by and waved to us as we were putting those stools together.
After that, we went to the convention floor, met up with the rest of the co-workers, and started to talk about our product Google Apps for Business. We also had a drawing for a free iPad, which combined with the Google name, brought in a bunch of people.
We were kept pretty busy throughout the day, talking about our product, having people fill out their info, and showing some live demos. Overall, we had amazing turnout, and even though I was pretty drained from talking to so many people, I had a great time.
After the expo, I spent quite some time looking for our car. We exited a different way from where we came in, so I futilely circled a couple blocks while trying to remember just where we had parked. Thankfully, I ended up finding the car and was glad we didn’t get ticketed or towed.
Dinner was at Ray’s Hell Burger, which was absolutely delicious. I ordered a giant 10 oz. burger with some of the best hot sauce I’ve ever tasted. The trip back to the hotel was filled with me nodding off from a food coma.
We got back to the hotel relatively early, around 8. But I was feeling quite exhausted, so I watched the Heat get pummeled by the Pacers on TV and fell into a deep and restful sleep.
