Time for my semester-ly plug on ABA. First General Meeting is tonight at 7:30 PM in 145 Dwinelle. This time around, First Gen has an added significance for me, since I’m President this semester.
In the past, I’ve talked about how much I’ve learned from the club, the lifelong friends that I’ve made, and the impact ABA has had on my college experience.
These things hold true today as it did at the start of college, but there’s just something different when you’re seeing everything fall into place from a macro point of view.
It makes you proud to see everyone improve from the first practice to the last, the dedication, and the excitement. When you’re so invested in the success of something, you definitely want everyone to do a stellar job.
Here’s a request that I’d like to make of you. If you’re free in the evening, and there’s nothing else better to do, stop by First Gen and say hi! I’ll be very, very glad to see you, and it’ll definitely mean a lot to me.
In the meantime, feel free to spread the word, or drop some words of encouragement. Today’s a big day, and I’m excited for the kick-off to a memorable fall semester.
