I haven’t posted about music in a while, so I thought I’d share a little treat called Beastie Boys.
I’m not a big fan of mainstream rap, but I give credit where credit’s due, and the trio’s new album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, is best described by one word: sick.
Love the funky synth-layered beats, and Beastie Boys are as good as ever. I really do admire how well they’ve managed mainstream success through all these years while still maintaining that quality and energy from their early days.
And props to Adam “MCA” Yauch for winning his battle against throat cancer and coming back to record with the group. These guys have been in the rap scene since the early 80s, and they just keep on going.
