Last week, I went to Elephant Bar with some of my co-workers from The Daily Cal. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at a chain restaurant, and it just so happens that this was my first time at Elephant Bar, located at the mall complex in Emeryville.
I ordered Chicken Medallions in Marsala Wine Sauce. It sounded fancy, and it was a pretty good price. Turns out it was just fried chicken steak in mushroom sauce and stir-fried vegetables.
The chicken was a bit dry, but the mushrooms were delicious. I think some more sauce would have made the meal that much better.
Dessert? Coffee mud pie. Absolutely amazing.
Still, it was nice being outside of Berkeley for a bit, and I can finally say that I’ve eaten at Elephant Bar.
